About Ed Moore - UX Design Specialist
Hi! Thanks for visiting my site!
My story begins from within the trenches of the blockbuster "AAA Retail" video game industry. I've worked on blockbuster games like MEDAL OF HONOR, LORD OF THE RINGS, SONIC , and others. I met great people, learned how to design games, manage projects, build and lead UI/UX teams, and set up usability testing and localization pipelines to ensure games would launch to users world-wide. After specializing in video game UX design in Los Angeles for almost 20 years, I got let go after the end of a project. I knew I owed it to myself turn this apparent setback into a new opportunity and seek a different path. In my heart, I had always wanted to run my own business, but I never felt I had the courage or the nerve to make the leap and take the risk. Despite these fears, in August of 2014, I took my career successes and failures into my own hands and began consulting. Within a few months, I found work and good people who showed me the ropes and gave me the opportunity to work on projects that aligned with my entrepreneurial interests. |
I put what learned from them into action and founded AMPED-UX, a user experience design consultancy. Today, I offer UX Design services for a variety of gaming and non-gaming projects, including VR/AR UX Design, Gamification, and UX Training.
I've learned that the hallmark of good management is flexibility, and every project has different needs. I work mostly on an hourly, remote basis, but I also offer on-site work in the Los Angeles area. I also consider any combination of part-time, flat-rate or retainer fees, and I'm always open to exploring full-time opportunities for cool people and projects.
It's my goal for you to leverage my learnings and experiences from working with diverse clients so you can connect with your audience with an awesome user experience!
